S. Thomas’ Preparatory School (“the School”, “we”, “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who uses this website — parents, guardians, old boys, staff and well-wishers.
This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. It does not cover the School’s wider handling of student and staff records, which is governed by the School’s own record-keeping and safeguarding policies. Information you give us. When you complete the enquiry form on our Contact page, we collect your name, email address, subject and message. If you write to us by email, telephone or post, we keep that correspondence and the details it contains.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our web server records basic technical information each time a page is requested — IP address, browser and device type, the pages viewed and the date and time. This is used to keep the site secure and working properly.
We do not ask for, and please do not send us, sensitive information (such as medical, financial or religious details) through the website. Enquiries of that kind should be made directly to the School Office.

Photographs, video and examples of student work appear across this site — in the Gallery, News & Events, the Archives and on our social media and livestream channels — as an ordinary part of recording school life.
Our website uses only the cookies needed for the site to function. We do not currently use advertising or profiling cookies. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings.
We share your information only where it is necessary: with the members of school staff who need it to respond to you, with service providers who host and maintain the website under an obligation of confidentiality, and where we are required to do so by law or to protect the safety of a child.
