The Inaugural W.T. Keble Debate Competition

An Inter-School Debate Competition organized by the Prefects Body of S.Thomas’ Preparatory School along with the Debating Club. Day 1 of the competition, the 21st of August, was indeed a rough yet interesting ride. 10 Schools participated, amounting to a total of 18 teams. It was with much hard work and tireless commitment that four teams qualified for the Semi-Finals. Not forgetting that the remaining 14 teams, who debated throughout the day, were indeed the ones who made this tournament a reality by taking part in it. The four Semi-Finalists St. Bridget’s Convent team A & B, Royal College, and Devi Balika Vidyalaya went head to head on the second and last consecutive day of the tournament to strive and get through to the final round. The finals which was live streamed via YouTube exceeding 1100 views was indeed a competitive and interesting debate between the teams Royal College A and St. Bridget’s Convent B. Royal College A emerged as the winners of the competition, thus bringing the event to a close. The project altogether was a truly fun filled and memorable journey and an immense success.
